PILING RIGS

Amplus operates a wide range of boring and piling equipment ranging from Continuous Flight Auger rigs manufactured by Casagrande Group capable of boring and pressure filling a 900 mm diameter pile to the Techno Drill TD308, the design of which enables it to negotiate a standard doorway.

CASAGRANDE C6 PILING RIG

The C6 is the most popular in Casagrande's range of small bore drilling rigs.

Versatility
The C6 is a versatile machine; it guarantees high performance in the construction of micropiles and anchors and soil investigation and jet grouting. Versatility is also a result of the modular design of their components whose choice and layout is a result of many years of extensive field-testing; it can be fitted with:

- different types of mast, each with different extension pieces and components
- different models of rotary heads with optional hydraulic drifter or drill string chucks.
- drill rod blocking and break-out clamps
- service winch
- onboard flushing pumps for water, muds or foam

Performance
The machine is fitted with two control panels; one for travelling and mast movement controls, the other for drilling and rotary head controls. The latter is mobile and may be positioned conveniently to enable the operator to see the hole during the drilling operation. The layout and labelling of all servo assisted controls has been carefully studied to afford the operator maximum comfort. The C6 is designed to drill boreholes using all the commonly known drilling tools and methods:

- single or double rotary heads
- roller or drag bits
- continuous flight augers
- coring barrels
- down-the-hole hammers
- external drifters and back hammers

Safety
The C6 is built safe, meeting or exceeding the stringent European Union's safety and health standards and is manufactured to comply with the ISO 9001 requirements on quality. Safety features include a number of emergency stop devices and protective barriers to all moving parts.

CASAGRANDE B125 PILING RIG

The B125 hydraulic rotary rig from Casagrande is their most popular rig worldwide, because of its versatility. The B125 drills piles from 300mm to 750mm, though this can extend to 1.5m in rotary mode and maximum depth is 50m. Once on site, the rig can be assembled in less than 2 hours and this means that piling can begin on the morning the rig is delivered to site! Even from its first major job, we have been able to produce an average of 300m of piling per day with the B125 rig. The 35-tonne B125 rig is equipped with the latest computer monitoring equipment that also includes an automatic extraction system to get the greatest benefit from concrete and offer us and our customers a cost effective solution.

TECHNODRILL TD610 MINI-PILING RIG

The TD610 is a very powerful and versatile mini-piling rig. Although primarily designed for restricted access sites, its mobility and high power mean that it is also at home drilling up to 600 mm diameter piles on open sites. It offers the flexibility of a telescopic mast and can utilise a variety of drilling systems and alternative rotation units.

It is a rotary rig for use with augers, temporary casings and down the hole hammers. The JT 203 rotation unit makes it possible to pump grout and/or concrete through the hollow stem auger system whilst the auger is still rotating.

TECHNODRILL TD308 MINI-PILING RIG

The TD308 is primarily designed to work inside buildings with standard domestic headroom or on difficult access sites such as embankments and tunnels. Its size belies its power and production rates, making it one of the most powerful compact rigs on the market. Its simplicity of both operation and maintenance has made it one of the most popular rigs available. The rig with its Powerbase power pack can be transported on a plant trailer.

Stability and efficiency is ensured as power is balanced with chassis size and the hydraulically adjustable track width (700 mm - 1000 mm). With the optional rotary table, the rig will drill at a variety of angles `side to side'.

It has the JT 202 rotation unit which can be used for pumping grout through a hollow stem auger system whilst still rotating. It is capable of up to 300 mm diameter holes to 20m depth and down the hole hammers using 3"-10" drill bits
